Congressman Loebsack Re-Launches Web Site

Screen shot of Loebsack's redesigned site.Congressman Dave Loebsack re-launched his official Web site this week in an effort to better maintain an open dialogue with constituents and provide helpful information and links on a range of issues.

"As the Congressman for Iowa’s Second Congressional District my top priority is to provide every resident with the best representation and constituent service possible," said Loebsack. "My office’s new Web site will better serve constituents by providing helpful information on legislation and federal agencies. Additionally, I encourage folks to sign up for my Facebook, which I created to help foster and maintain an open dialogue with the people in the district."

The Web site was designed to engage and help all constituents in the Second District. Students can visit the "Kids Page" to learn more about the federal government, families wishing to visit our Nation’s Capitol can request tour tickets to some of the most exciting sites the city has to offer, and seniors can find helpful information on Medicare and Social Security. In addition to the constituent service and casework sections on the Web site, people can visit the legislative area to learn more about legislation currently being considered in Congress. Lastly, one of the most exciting sections of the Web site is the multimedia page where visitors can watch Loebsack deliver statements on the floor of the U.S. House.

"Civic participation is the cornerstone to our democracy," noted Loebsack. "I encourage everyone in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District to visit my virtual office and Facebook often and contact me with any questions, concerns or comments they may have. Participation in the legislative process could not be more crucial."

The new and improved Web site is one element of Loebsack’s efforts to fully engage with the residents in Iowa’s Second Congressional District.
